Just got my new 15 x 6 5on4 Rallye's from WV. They almost go on all the way. They can't go over the slight ridge on the disc brake hub. Do I have to sand the powdercoat alittle so it slides over? Hello RUST !

Never seen that before, but they are aftermarket wheels..... I'd sand/file the rotor until it fits. Try to keep it the same amount all the way around so you don't induce a hop in the wheel when it's mounted.

I knew of a guy that had a problem with aftermarket wheels (not WV) not fitting because of the stepped area on his new front rotors.

What is this on? I don't recall ever seeing a slight ridge on my rotors before.

I have seen it on some aftermarket rotors but not on OEM.

I wonder if the OP has a stock rim to test fit? Could narrow down if it's the rim or the rotor.

If it's the rim, I'd probably see if a machine shop would cut the rotor hub enough to fit?

Is this a factory 2 piece rotor/hub combo? You did say 4" bolt pattern.. I'd measure the hub and the ID of the wheel and post them here. Sounds like an issue with the wheels, if the hub is OE...A factory 14" 5 on 4 rallye ID measures approx "2.320 using a snap gauge and a vernier..not the most accurate but no way to get the vernier into the recess...

On my disc brake conversion I had to turn down the snout on my front rotors. Measure with calipers and chuck it up in a lathe. Otherwise you cant ever rotate your wheels or put on a spare. I think it cost me $20 for both. Cast iron cuts quick.

I do have aftermarket rotors and it does have a very slight ridge. I thought maybe the powder-coating was causing it, but no. I ended up slowly bolting down each lugnut and pressfit the wheels on. Not fun getting them off.

Center holes on OE wheels are 2-3/4".

I had the same issue years back when I had my AMC Rallyes powder-coated. The coating is thicker than you realize. I had to take my dye-grinder and whittle the coating off the centers before the wheel would slip on easily.

I have 3 set of 15X7 WV Rallyes, only issue was the powdercoat color being off, never had any mounting or balance issues...

I have heard its the wheel , heard the wheel stamping is getting worn down slightly from use and the center hub hole is just slightly small.
I had a guy call me , not one of my customers , and ask for any ideas on what to do. He ended up using a die grinder and clearing all the powdercoat and just a bit of the steel to get it to slide on the front disc brake hub. He had orginal rotors. This was a small ( four inch )
bolt pattern wheel.....

That's what I did with the die grinder. Then sealed it. Went on perfectly.
