I just bought a '78 Fury, and the wiper linkage was broken at the trouble-prone clutch thingy at the motor. Someone had already attempted to fix it and it was taken apart when I got the car, so I have no reference on how to reassemble it.
I bought the repair kit on eBay and got it together, and the wipers work, but they wont park. The wiper motor does reverse when the wipers are turned off, so I'm convinced the clutch is the problem.
In the attached photo, is the red(ish) plastic piece supposed to rotate freely within the hole in the metal arm? Mine doesn't.
