Yes . What brand sending unit are you using? I just tried installing a Standard brand unit on my 340 with a dual point and that unit was too tall for the distributor to rotate.

I would have too look but I bought it from a restoration supplier, and it seems the same size by looking at it.

it's electrical and needs a good path to ground, which is thru the threads to the block.

No sealer of any kind. It has to have a solid ground to the block to work.
