Ok, finally going to get my cam swap started and need to know what parts to order. Truck is a 2012 with a 5.7 and 182,000 miles. It still runs good but it has developed the chirping noise. I'm going with a 6.4 cam and lifters, timing chain and oil pump. Thinking valve springs and push rods too. Will the 6.4 springs and push rods fit? Besides new head bolts are there any other bolts that should be replaced? Anything that I'm forgetting? Gaskets, are Mopar parts better than over the counter? Thanks for any help.

the pushrods are the same between 5.7 and 6.4. The 5.7 springs will work, I would recomend new from the dealer as they are only about $60 set. The 6.4 spring is probably better in some way but pressures and such were almost identicle to the 5.7 and cost about $150 more for a set, they are drop on.

Timing chain is the same.

The 5.7 oil pimp is just fine, it dont have as much need for volume as a 6.4 because there are no piston squirters.

If it has MDS, you might get a check engine light for the added oil pressure if you use the 6.4 pump.

Lifters? Head bolts or any other fasteners that are mandatory to replace? Harmonic balancer bolt? Any prefered gaskets?

I have always reused all the bolts as long as they are not visably stretched.

I have used felpro gaskets and dealer gaskets, they both seem fine.
