I think I have enough parts to start a build thread. I sold my Willys MB and I am building an LJ length CJ to replace it. It will be kept low and on 40s. The body will be from Aqualu when I finally order it, haha.

The first part I got for the build was a ‘12 Ram 3500 steering box. This is funny because the first part I had for my Willys was a steering box, then a pair of axles. Which is the same situation here... I got a pair of ‘09 Superduty axles. I later decided the pumpkin location was not ideal for my situation. I ordered a custom housing from ECGS to work with my Reid Superduty knuckles and retain the stock Superduty width.

I also got a pair of Savvy LED tail lights

I must say you do build some awesome stuff, nice work. You are very talented. I however cant imagine what you spend on that stuff or where you find things like a custom diff housing for a SD.

There had been a suspicion on Pirate4x4 whether the Spicer Ultimate 60 balljoint setup was based on the production F350. Then Spicer released their “builder program” and you could buy the inner Cs loose. No one wanted to order a set and test it out. So I did. I measure everything and it matches the oem inner C. Takes the same balljoints, same spread and same inclination angle.

By using the Superduty outers and not the standard kingpin stuff... I get to use 1550 u joints.

I picked up a pair of surplus Bussmann 3100 relay modules. And my tires showed up. Ended up going with 42" Pitbull Rockers since they had a 50% sale the other week. Compared the tires to Tom's wimpy 35s...

Installed the balljoints in one of the knuckles to mock up on the housing. I wanted to double check that the everything lined up correctly.
