My cam and or lifters have worn out and I need to replace them. I had a Comp solid flat cam with Comp lifters and I believe I have a few lobes or lifters gone.
I am going with the EDM lifters and I still haven't decided on a cam yet.
Anyone have any real world experience with the Howard's lifters?

Thanks

I have probably 3000 miles on mine. The first solid cam I ran was a Lunati. I now have the MP 528. I did replace the lifters when switching cams though. I followed the valve lash to the cam card and everything has been great. I do add a bottle of the Comp Cams break in supplement at each oil change though.

I've had a set in my pile for about a year.
My springs are around 180/ 340.
I had the intake off a couple months back, the wear looks normal.
I am running this cam in at 102.

The EDM holes are .016, still holds around 40 PSI hot at 1000 rpm idle.
I was told the holes might bleed off oil pressure, but there's plenty.

Your car (which is way cool BTW) would probably like this cam more than my 4000 lb car with 3.54 gears.

EDIT a couple thousand miles and a bunch of pulls.

Advancing the cam 2 degrees made a noticeable difference on my deal.

That cam sounds like a good choice for my engine and with a 4.10 gear and 4-speed it would probably go real nice.
I was looking at a Lunati Voodoo cam https://www.summitracing.com/oh/parts/lun-30230743/overview/?retaillocation=oh

I think the cam you listed might be a better choice with my Indy head stroker thumbs

Gus I use the Comp EDM lifters that Dwayne Porter got me with the flat tappet cam he ground for my eng. They have been in my eng since June 2011 when I first fired it up. And they are still going strong as I just had my 63 out today and she is running as good as ever. Ron

I've got the Comp EDM solid lifters in my stroker B motor going on five years now. Probably 3000 miles ... Comp 0.550 solid cam. AMSOIL Z-Rod 10W-30 Oil. Broken in on single springs and added the inners later. No issues - knock wood! I figure that the EDM lifter face is just a little extra insurance against flattening a lobe or two.

I did the same and broke my cam in on just the outer springs. My cam is .585 & .592 lift with 264 & 270 @ .050. Ron
