Warning there is truck content.
One thing is for sure @ a max weight of 3200LBS it'll be fun.
Got stuck with a 374 CI 5.7 Base short block I built, figured toss it in here and have some fun.

have the headers worked out now, the LX body headers will work with some mods, have to cut the port flange off and remove about a 1/2 inch and move the pipes in towards the head. Flanges are ordered and I'll get some photos up by next week.
Ordered Dropped spindles and van Lower control arms last week, also got brackets to convert the front calipers over to GM 52 style.

sold the 374 last night, Gave up trying to sell the 4 in bore 5.7 Pistons, sooooooooooooooo I'm going to use them and build a 410.
These are areal deep dish, but With the Eagle heads should bring compression up in to the mid 9s, good enough for this "street" project

Have you taken a 5.7,out that much before? I know there’s rumor that the really early 5.7’s are supposed to be a thicker casting

The 374 I just sold was a 4in bored 08 block(with a modified 6.4 crank)
I' ve gone as big as 4.09 but that block's original bores were spot on center to start with, but I've had one crack @ 4.08

I wouldn't fear taking any 03-08 5.7 block out to 4in
Anything over 4.0 have it sonic checked and go from there.
Arrington has been doing 4in bore block builds for a few years now, and Nutter racing has been doing 6.1 4.055 bore) 5.7s .My niece Caroline's 05 300srt daily has had 370(4.055) bore 5.7 in it since 08,one of her late boyfriend's 1st builds 10 years and over 140k on that engine, and she's not nice to it.
Attached (only ment to attach 1 photo) is a cross cut of an 05 5.7 block that was stock bore, it's a THICK bore for the record it measures out to be .034-.04
The Eagle blocks are only good for a .03 over bore

My rods for the the 410 Build came in last week, worked on the Driver's side header a bit the other night, had to cut the LX headers up to get them to fit between the rails and the block

I'm Interested in the room you will have to complete the headers.
I have W9 436 cid that I will be doing the same.
Keep the photos coming.
Matt
