Just checking to see what a fair price is for 8.75 rear axle assembly out of a 71 A-Body with a 741 case (open). No drums included (told froze up and were removed).

Seen some rusty + greasy ones that obviously needed serviced for $600 and up. I would not pay that for one, but that's what they go for.

I myself wouldn't pay any more than that, for an axle that has the weaker
741 case, NO sure-grip, no brake parts...most likely needs a complete rebuild anyway. if I was gonna do all that, might as well get a brand new STRONGER Moser unit custom made, to my own specs!
