I've been here since 2009 and haven't posted much. Learned a lot in the 8 years I've been working on my GTX. Here's an album.

I'm running a '67 HP block .040 over 440 forged crank with comp 268 cam, FAST EFI, 440 source aluminum heads.

Nice...

You're one of 200 in GY-9...

Bring it up here for the Woodward cruise...

I'd love to bring it. I attended the first or second one with our Olds 442.

Can you tell me where you got the 1 of 200 number? I'd never heard that before.

The car looks awesome, and I love the colors of the interior and exterior!

Nice car . Not many GY9 GTXs out there . I still have a nice buildsheet for a GY9 that I found in my GY3 car . Maybe one day the owner will turn up .
I have tried for years to re-unite the sheet with owner, but no one had came forward . RS23U1G1006** with 810 SPD .

I really like the 71 B's. I had a GY9 71 GTX a few years back. I am the guy who bought the 71 GTX from Big Money Lewis several years ago. Man that was a good car! I don't know why I keep getting rid of some of the nice cars I have owned. Grass is always greener on the other side!

I was in Lawrenceville, I found the car in Lithonia. I live in Marietta (West Cobb) now. I've taken it to the Acworth downtown cruise, I'll be looking to do the Dallas, GA cruise, it was most recently at the Jim Miller park (Creepers Club) show.

I don't post much. I'm also at FBBO and RRnest. The other cars and house stuff have been taking up my time.

Small world. Grew up in Gwinnett (Lilburn) and raised my family there. We are in Dacula now. Worked in Conyers about 6-7 yrs. and went through the edge of Lithonia coming and going.

Hello Steve,

Magnificent work on your wonderful GTX!

I am a fellow GY9 'tawny gold' 71 GTX owner, in the UK.

The only other one I have seen out of the 200 made, is Leon's car in LA.
I got mine back in the 90's and a friend gave me his copy of the magazine that featured Leon's car.
Then in 2003 I flew over to the Spring Fling and he was there, how amazing!

Mine was destined for the scrap heap as the rust was quite extensive and 71 parts were few and far between.
But being a 'numbers matching' car I had to 'do the right thing' doh!

I have done my best on a limited budget, but took the rash decision of painting my 'Joseph' limelight!
He was bright yellow when I got him and black before that, so many dreamcoats lol...

Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero, thanx Horace!

There’s no point trying to fix stuff that ain’t broke,,, 'but if ain’t broke',,, you is not trying hard enough...
