3- speed wipers on a 71 E body.
When wipers are turned on they move up a inch or so then stop.
I took off the cowl grill on the DS and disconnected the linkage to the motor and then turned the wiper switch on.
It appeared to move properly, and increased with speed when fully on, and parked when shut off.
I think the linkage, when connected to the motor, is hitting the top of the cowl, which stops the motion of the motor spinning.
The connection to the wiper motor on the crank arm looked a little sloppy, so I tried adding a rubber washer to get the slop out, but it didn't help.
There are numbers on the drive link (282229358622) and crank arm ( 2822 28958622).
Are these correct for the application?
Any insights appreciated.
