Any other specifics that I should know...it is complete less harness and computer, etc...guy wants 1000 for it, came out of a running car. Thanks in advance

03-08 Hemis have a issue with exhaust seats falling out.. I would get a inspection camera to take a look inside each cylinder. the tensioners on the timing set like to wear out prematurely and improperly maintained hemis tend to spin rods easy, all these items should be looked at and corrected if using the early engines

My goal would be to build a 600ish hp engine with a 150-250 nitrous shot on demand as necessary so I would definitely be disassembling as upgrading as required.

For your goals I would be looking at a known good block first, since you will probably not be using the majority of the internal parts.

$ 1,000 seems steep to throw the most of it away.

Good info, thanks, that's kinda what I was afraid of, I didn't know if the heads, block and crank would be usable in my application.

The blocks are good, the heads can be useable but there are better ( cheaper ) options like the " eagle" heads. The crank is cast, etc. The stock rotating assembly with that amount of nitrous is a bad idea in my opinion.

I am glad that Moparts ( Thanks Tom!) gave us our own Gen III forum to learn in. It has been very helpful to me.

Is there a fix for the seats? Staking-peening over?
