I ended up buying a set of Harlan Sharp rockers designed for the Trick Flo head. Don't know how bad the geometry is with a stock rocker setup - I just bit the bullet and bought the correct ones. They are at the machine shop and will hopefully get installed next week.
There was a thread on rockers for Trick Flo heads - not sure if it was in the one linked above. That is a long thread.

I have just fitted mine . ARP headbolt kit , I think same as Eddy Victor . ARP rocker shaft stud kit . Summit lists all these , I bought from them . Pushrods , mine were nearly 1" longer . I reused my Crane gold 1.5 rockers , mock up at zero lash they were centre 1/3 of valve tip . Valve spring pressures were dead on at height , just cleaned up up and honed guides . Been running for a week , hope to get on chassis dyno next week .

I have read almost nothing about either trick flow 240/270 that wasn’t for a magazine article. I don’t know why more people aren’t posting builds, and or results with them. back to the track for me on 30th June , 1/8 racing and maybe some 1/4 testing hopefully my results will be good . hope to see 30rwhp gain any more is a bonus Tex

The HS are too long on the nose.....they sit on the outer edge of the valve tip Not if you buy the correct ones. This has all been covered before. I posted pictures, did a dyno test, wrote a magazine article, etc.

Tex What cam you running with the golds? I recall Andy saying the golds were on the money geometry-wise... but I'm not sure how long they will last with higher seat pressure... (running a small solid FT now...)

Thanks! I'm running the same rockers for a while now...~20 years. They still look like new when I pulled them off last year, so if it ain't broke I won't fix it. Looking to step up from my current ~.520 260/266 SFT when I swap heads

Using TF 270 heads on a 470 build. HS 70015KE rockers-all good. Engine was built last winter after following a lot of Andy F reads. Spot on, thanks Andy. removed heads from box, checked valve seats and put back together. did install different springs to accommodate cam-280/655 roller. Push rods were measured for exact length needed. ARP stud kit for TF heads and rocker arms. Summit Valve covers-perfect fit. Put in car 3 weeks ago, got some 20+ hits on it, now tuning can begin. No dyno test, just track tuning. so far it appears to be at 750 range. They work nice. Sounds like a good combo. 750 is exactly what I'd expect from 270 heads on a 470 with decent compression and a 280 roller cam. That should be a good engine for you, have fun at the track!

Yeah. Sounds like a great combo. Dont think my 511 would run that with my edel. Mw port heads. Why not, I'm in the mid 9's and 6-teens w/standard port RPM'S ported by yours truly............. AND with a baby 470 to boot.........
