Mine has been cobbled up over the years in the 74 and the cross shaft arm is not in line with the clutch fork so I'm not exactly sure what is going on here. I'm sure I could cut, weld and fabricate something but a pic of how it should look would be helpful. Thanks.

Iirc, the 70'%s trucks had one end of the z bar mounted to the frame, changed to the cab mounted type in the 80's. Newer style picture above.

Not positive but I'd bet the bell housing mount moved with that change. Maybe you have mixed generation parts?

I might be able to get a pic of my 77 crew.

Yes mine is frame mounted. You are probably correct it's been mismatched over the years. I see in 1E2C pics that the rod to the fork is straight on. Mine is off about an inch or so having to angle inward toward the fork.

Might want to pull the inspection cover and make sure the fork is installed correctly. I think the pivot bracket can be installed backwards and throw off the alignment. Would put the fork about one inch out of alignment but I can't recall which direction it would be off.
