So the evap drain is stopped up in the wifes Challenger. Took it to dealer and they blew air into it and cleared it for about 30 min. before water started dripping out of the blower motor again. Put it up on stands to see if there was anything I could do to clear it with mechanical fingers or a coat hanger. No joy. Cut the boot so I could get my finger up in it and feels like the actual drain from the evap case is only about 1/4" in diameter. No wonder the d@₩★ thing is stopped up. Any secrets someone would care to tell me about to clear this thing short of taking the dash and evap case out? My thought is to drill a hole in the front corner of the case and run some rigid plastic tubing down to the body plug in the floor. Tim

Never mind. Daughter talked to friend who is a Dodge tech. Told her it was pretty common problem that sometimes required R&R of evap case. SO (Frank Sinatra voice) "I did it my way". (/Frank Sinatra voice) Carefully drilled a 1/2" hole in front right corner of case. As expected, water came pouring out. After cleaning that up, I ran a length of 1/2" rigid plastic tubing down alongside the tunnel and across floor to body plug. Caulked up both holes and will put glove box and other pieces back in after caulk dries and I verify no leak at case. Tim

i have seen this problem many times in all makes and models. it is usually caused by dirt, dust, and debris being ingested through the plenum box fresh air intake around the cowl area. leaves and pine needles are really good for this, as well as just common dust, which, with moisture, turns to mud in the box. when enough gunk gets in the box, it blocks the drain channels, causing the problem you have now. your solution should work, but be aware that having the evaporator continuously immersed [even a tiny bit] in this stuff will, eventually, have you pulling the dash for replacement. been there, done that [your drain trick, and it does work !], got the T shirt afterward, not liking the job whatsoever ! [multiple times doesn't make it any more fun !]

Interesting, got any pics of what you did? I'll try. Daughter gone in it right now. moparx- I have several Toyota evaporator cleaner kits on hand and am a firm believer in them. If you haven't used an aftermarket kit, try one. If it works as well as a Toyota one you won't believe the crap that comes out the drain. Now that I can get to it, I'll be using one regularly. Tim
