I bought a pair of cars and am trying to decide if they are worth trying to fix one or both or just turn one into a Drag car .

Neither have titles and have been sitting in a private yard since 1982 or 83
This 71 struck a parked car on the passenger side . The front section, frame and firewall are hurt.

The other looks just as bad but it really isn’t and it has a nice front section that could be used to repair the 71 .

The second car is a barracuda but it’s a 383 auto console car with sone cool options.

I think a frame shop could straighten the front but are the making the inner fenders Ect to repair the rest or will I need a parts car.

The drive trains for both are gone. I do know where I can get a date coded 340 for it if I decided to go that direction.

I totally understand that they need everything but I’m in no hurrah I’m just sure if I want to build one stock or a resto mod .

I know I can but all the bolt on sheet metal, fenders hood grille Ect but I’m curious if the make the stuff that’s beyond repair.

The deck lid fits fine but is not mounted.

I would see if I could get them titles first. Then you can see if it will be worth to get them or one back on the road. Parts are more available now too. Plenty of nice new hemi / trans swaps would make them nice cruisers.

I can get titles in idaho it just takes time and i have to have an engine in the engine bay. But if one becomes my drag car then no need.

I guess my biggest question is do they sell the inner front sheet metal to fix this or will I need to use my 70 barracuda to fix it.

There is but it's not 100% correct.

The 70 and 71 frame rails for example are not exactly alike. You can get it to work, no problem.

That would be a shame to let a '71 340 4spd 'cuda die. All metal available!!!!

I'm the CARETAKER of Weinstats '69 440 'cuda registry and have 104 of the 360 cars to date. 84 fastbacks/20 coupes. Always looking for new(REAL M-code) '69 440 'cudas to add to the registry so drop me a note if any are found or known. This isn't a publicly released registry. Thanks, Dave

Money pit to save both, take the 2 and piece together for 1 nice car.
