The window seals and tracks are worn out in my '65 Coronet. Is there a source that has correct parts? I'm looking at all the parts and there are a bunch of them. Window tracks, cat whiskers at the top of the door, seals around the back windows (2 door hardtop), vent window seals, door seals, etc. Looks like a major job to replace everything.

Anybody who does window and door restoration? I've asked a few local body shops and most of them aren't interested in this type of work. I'm sure there are guys around who know how to do this stuff but I haven't gotten a lead on them yet.

On my 2 early-B projects, I spoke to & ordered from restorationspecialties.com; they know correct sizes for the felts in the runs, and it all went together & worked well.
I've never had the channels wear out, but if the felts & seals are worn out, it can seem that way. It's possible to bend them if they're missing an attaching bolt and sufficient force is applied, I guess.

Thanks, I'll look into that. Here is a picture of the passenger side rear window. The chrome and seal part is loose and will easily slide off. So I think I need the new seal that goes inside the chrome part. I also need the felts in the doors as well as the material inside the channels.

I have a parts book so I can look up original part numbers and go from there. Sometimes that helps.

They'll have the felts, likely to be the same size as the sedans/wagons, as they're continuous from the upper frame down to the bottom of the guides. (Lubing them helps installation.) Funny thing was that the guy there rattled off the size I needed right away, and he was exactly right. I didn't have any part #s.
IIRC, the molding/glass seal has an adhesive property, and if you want to cheat, you might get away with the 3M clear molding adhesive, but I've not tried that. Later B hardtops moved that molding to the door glass, seen the same problem there, and that seal/strip is available for them somewhere.
If your car needs the door seals with the cloth covering, they have those too, fairly inexpensive.
Their catalog also has body plugs, fasteners, clips, fender beading, etc. at friendly prices.

That chrome on the front of the quarter glass is held on with glass setting tape. Kinda like a tough 2 sided butyl tape. There are 1/2 a dozen or so different thicknesses. Mopar uses 3/64" (.045") I sell in pairs. 1ft (vent window glass to frame) and 2ft (rear qtr window and door glass chrome strip attachment). Wrap around glass. Spray with Windex. Use mallet to hammer chrome on glass. Customers said heat gun helps.

Thanks. I had someone else tell me about glass setting tape. Had not heard of it before. I mostly do engine work and sometimes chassis work. Interiors is a bit out of my wheel house but I'm learning.

I'm guessing I'll need to clean the old adhesive out of the inside of the chrome strip. I'm sure that will be a fun time!
