Jeff has on his schedule a 32-car Footbrake gambler on Friday May 18 at National Trails. This will be really cool as he normally doesn't have anything going on on Friday night. Lonnie, Bill and Walt take the buttons out and grab a lane!

I just seen it on Facebook this morning, but sorry the button stays, I couldn't buy a race if I tried to go footbrake, so I will stay on the side lines and enjoy the evening. wave

I'd love to, but. This race continues to be the same weekend as the Dave Duell Classic.

Actually, with one exception, the Classic has been on the same date for 25 years. So I guess the NMCA continues to be on our date...

Is there something special about the date? I know a few years ago they were 1 week apart as I ran both. Hard to give up a chance at running for $1500 Saturday and $4000 + contingency on Sunday. If the dates don't conflict I'd be happy to support.

Yes. It seems to be the only weekend of the year you can absolutely guarantee it will rain, almost without fail.

A lot of people stayed away because the weather forecast was bad, but it only rained on Saturday afternoon. Jeff Russell was the winner Friday night, I lost to Lonnie Smith in the second round. Lonnie went on to win Super Pro on Sunday, congrats! Also thanks to the crew at National Trail Raceway, the track was superb, I made 9 passes and my 60 fts were within .004!!!

I don't know any of the other results, I was helping a guy load up a broke car. There were probably less than 20 cars in each class, except Pro. It's a shame really, as all of the other tracks in the area were closed due to weather.

Bill, sorry I missed you, I went to a wedding on Saturday!
