I'm curious if anyone has messed with 90s-era power steering pumps on small blocks.

I'm using a ZJ Grand Cherokee pump on my car. Is anything known about the internals of these things? It'd be great if I could reduce my pressure in a similar way as the older Saginaw pumps. The option of effortless one-finger cornering is getting weird.
