Recently bought 1 for my 505 . And started port matching . I have CNC stealths .
It would seem these are cast as for max wedge and stock port , just not opened up .
2 questions
- looks like I will have to remove across top of ports to fit rocker covers . I have Mopar cast type .
- I may have to do the same across bottom of ports as well
Is this correct ?
I have seen in the TF270 thread , after I started that the port / bolt holes appear to be raised 0.050 in manifold face .
I am using the Trickflow valley plate , Andy's batwings and Superformance gaskets
thanks ,

Tex

You have all the parts in front of you....... I would think it's pretty obvious what needs to be removed.

I'm not sure how the size and placement of the cnc'd port openings for MW stealths is compared to OE MW heads, but compared to the std ports..... The MW port openings go higher and lower than the std ports.

Edit: after re-reading your post, I guess I'm unclear exactly what you have going on there or what you're trying to do.

You mention the TF270 heads, which are raised runner MW heads..... But then you also talk about the batwings, which are for non-raised runner std port heads.

Thanks Dwayne
I have stock port size with the CNC stealth
So time to grind more
I may have been unclear - I meant across top and bottom on external of gasket , not the actual port opening . Where you can see bearing blue on picture

I put an Indy 440-2 on some rpm heads years ago.
I used an .080" thick piece of aluminum for a valley plate, and had to remove quite a bit off the lower edge of the manifold, and double gasket it, to make it fit.
But the heads and intake were MW size.

Ok,
got intake on.
cut 2-3 mm off lower edge and about 4-5mm top . Could maybe go another 1mm lower edge but fits and seals .
Definitely less fuelly at idle without the adapter . Find out this Saturday
rce day
