Okay guys, so here's the deal. I was able to source a complete power disc brake set up from a '72 Charger about 4 years ago. According to the info I had at the time this is suppose to be a direct bolt in and factory appearing installation. I know that there are better aftermarket systems available but I want my '72 Challenger to appear as factory correct in every way possible. Included in the parts that I received are the original factory power brake booster and proportioning valve. I have two questions . .

1. Should I bother to have the booster restored or are there correct appearing replacements available?
2. Will the proportioning valve also need to be restored or rquired other attendtion or can I expect this thing to work without doing anything to it.

I would'nt bother restoring the booster, but the prop valve has to be the one that goes with disc...if you had drums....no good !
If in trouble. call MP Brakes...

I have the proportioning valve for the disc set up but it's out of a '72 Charger and going into a '72 Challenger, will this matter? Will the valve need to be rebuilt or serviced? Who ever removed the proportioning valve simply cut the brake lines with a side cutter and threw it in a box along with all the other disc brake parts. I an simply bolt this proportioning valve into my Challenger and expectit to work after all these years of just sitting on a shelf?

I wouldn't mess with reusing the old corroded crap. Inline Tube has the correct appearing functioning ones you need. I haven't ordered from them yet, but plan too.
