I never knew that they made a special plug for the dipstick hole. But I always use the proper sized allen-head cap screw (1/4" or 5/16"?) and silicone it in. Lol me too and it never leaked a drip.

Chrysler used an aluminum plug on the truck blocks since the dipstick was mounted in the pan. I just copied the truck block plug and started to reproduce them. I've been making them for years. Lots of people buy them so I keep making them.

Didn't know such a thing existed. I just drill and tapped my small blocks to 1/8NPT.

So unless you have some sort of sight glass ,,,,,how do you know your oil level??? Measure the pan capacity using a quart bottle and water before installing it, the accusump, the filter and pour in what it needs to have. Change it every 50 runs or so. If it leaks or burns all that between changes, something is wrong.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.
