At this point I'm guessing Ma Mopar never offered a clutch fan in a bigblock Dart. Tried installing one, no way no how.

There is such little room in there, can't see how that could ever fit.

According the the Hayden catalog part number 1707 is the correct part for a big block Dart. The height is 3.59 inches. Hayden part 2947 is listed with a total height of of 2.71 inches.

Yes there were clutch fans for big block A-Body's, no you cannot find a correct one. The normal non clutch fan has a .70 spacer which is equally hard to find.

Isn't there a short one for a Jaguar application?
The "direct-drive" fan on mine is actually too efficient at speed; thinking about getting another with fewer blades (car is not a resto), or a clutch style.

Thanks. Okay, have to ask, anyone with a bigblock Abody running a Hayden clutch fan?

Moving the rad is not an option.

I was on a hunt last year for this spacer as I thought I got one years ago, but could not locate in my stash. After looking at what seemed like a few hundred at Carlisle, finally found.

I have 2 big block a bodies. One that I made a D.C. Style k frame, that one has the Hayden clutch and fan, the jaguar clutch I think. The other has Schumacher mounts and no way the clutch will fit. something weird going on there. That clutch fan works great though.

The Jaguar part will work but the 2947 is a better option. Jags had a plastic fan. The 2947 is designed to replace the original Mopar part. I think the 2947 is designed specifically for the '62 - '65 applications that had very little water pump to radiator clearance.

The Jag part is what I run on my '63. Works perfect, but I still had to move the tank saddles rearward on my stock radiator 1/2".

I'll take a look at the number I'm running. I'm also using the Hayden fan. I think its aluminum.
