Ha...They're not mine and most I am told have actually jumped over each other to be installed on deserving cars.

But Terry would these get installed on engines that run or just car's that get pushed? i have two Red/White/Blue I'm afraid to use from the 90's.

They would be fine to run (so would your RWB ones if in new condition) the thing is that most cars restored to that level rarely get run, or just on and off trailers. Most guys I know that do drive thier highly restored cars only put the NOS green filters on for show duty and run something else the rest of the time. The reproductions are great for guys who don't want to mess with swapping filters and want to run a quality modern filter without giving up the appearance of originality. These reproduction filters are NOT for an all out O.E. Gold effort (only NOS will do for those) but for everything else they are great!

Just curious, Whats the value in these green filters now a days?
I know at one time $800- to $100 was the norm. But believe that has come down dramatically due to the demand isn't there like it used to be.

( I dont have one or do I have the desire to pay that kind of money for an oil filter either )

As a side note. Many years ago Ron Adair offered me a case of them for $1000 and I dint bite. I Thought,,, Who in there right mind would pay $100 plus for an oil filter
AKA , opportunity missed on my part. It wasn't long after I found them regularly in the $500 and up range.

A value on a correct NOS filter depends on condition and maby if it has a box.. a mint one with box.. around 1200 and perhaps up to 1400$ max.. is what im guessing. I have sold a few for a little less than that a few years back.

I tend to agree more with Bill's value assessment.
Here's the box that held the 12 green filters I had years back
and no, I didn't buy them from Ron.

2 68 I would assume was month, year

The claim is that red white blue ones would be installed first oil change.
Most red white blue that I have come across are dated 1972 or 73, OK I guess, if you waited till the following year to get the oil changed in your new 71 car.

Not sure when these were used but the blue filter is embossed on the top, not with the M but a circle.
I like the ones in the second picture Mopar blue and white and Mopar black and white.
Have some of all three.
The blue one is late 60's, the other two early 70's

Yep, I've seen a BUNCH of different replacement configurations, as well as some variability in the textured green production line style (graphics varied) but anyone doing a serious car won't want anything but an NOS green textured example. For a driver a reproduction textured green unit is what most others want. I don't know why anyone would want a RWB (or other replacement style) filter on thier car unless they had a 72 and later car but opinions vary on that one. shruggy

weird how the white and black lettered one and the white and blue lettered one have two different length flat spots on them too.

Where are the reproduction green ones available? Has anyone found a paint that's close and had a stamp/stencil made to make their own. For a driver car, as mentioned, close enough to take a new one and repaint it. I'd use one in my convertible just to have the look on my driver.
