Which intake will work with the Sniper EFI with hood clearance for a 70 challenger?

The rest of the combo matters (gear, tire, cam, planned use). That said a 512 EFI would probably like a single plane. Good breathing on top, good fuel distribution for EFI and you likely have more than enough torque down low with 512 CI.

I like and run a M1 single plane on my low deck EFI stroker. With a flat hood, and mild drop base air cleaner it fits (just). I am running port injection and a really short throttle body. I think the Sniper is TB injection and a bit taller.

If you have a raised hood (eg TA) the M1 should fit with TB injection. If running a flat hood too tall (I think).

Being a throttle body style EFI you definitely want a single plane intake....The Holley street Dom is one of the best single planes.....There have been reports of this style EFI not working hardly at all on dual plane intakes....Port fuel injection is so much better than this TBI crap.

Take care,
Rick

Heh, I'm going this exact same route this summer: 512ci with a Holley Sniper EFI. My motor already has a Torquer 383 single plane on it. If you look it up the Engine Master guys had an issue using a TBI setup (might have been FiTech) where the fuel was puddling on the floor of the dual plane intake they were using. They couldn't get the motor to run straight until they swapped to a single plane.

I'm looking at the same (512 with Sniper) for my 68 Charger. I know this is apples and oranges, but on my 69 GTX with RB engine and air grabber a Holley SD fits with stock hood but just barely. That has a Proform Carb on it though which is higher than the Sniper. I think about 3/4 inch more room with a B series engine. I don't know how much difference in under hood clearance between B body and E body but I would think it would be about the same. In my case for the Charger the Holley SD currently is at the top of the list for stock hood.

I'm planning to put a Super Sniper on my '65 Coronet this summer. I currently have a Performer RPM intake on the engine so I'll start with that. If I have problems I'll switch to a Trick Flow intake.

I have an RB M1 under my antique Commander 950 Pro TBI. Nothing special 9:1 493 with RPM heads and an MP509.

It fit under the hood of my New Yorker with an Edelbrock chrome air filter assembly. 500 HP/600 ft/lbs.

500 ft/lbs from 2000 to 5000 RPM. Peak was 4000.

Holley Sniper EFI works great. I'm running an M1-4500 intake manifold with 4150 adapter on my 470ci stroker. Trying to fit it under a factory hood, not a chance. With a 3" (total) height 15" oval filter, it's around .25" of clearance under my six pack hood. Your going to have to sacrifice on port volume (HP potential) and go with something like the Holley Street Dominator, and that may even be tough depending on your air cleaner choice.

What you need is one of my old AR372 adapters. Not sure that it would work with a Sniper though since it was designed for the dual pattern carbs. But it was only 1/2 tall and it worked pretty well.
