There is actually a guy selling the factory aftermarket efi kit for magnums.
at 2200, not sure if it is worth it or not, but it comes with everything you need.
I guess it was for the carb crate engines.

durango/dakota forumns. don't have the link handy.

So I bought the cam snout extension from Hughes so I can run the v belt set up and mechanical fuel pump and correct fan. How hard is it to switch over? Do I need a timing belt cover off of a la style 360 or will a la 318 work as well. I’ have a couple of la 318’s kicking around that I can rob all of the pulleys from and brackets for alt and power steering.

If you wanted to keep the magnum EFI, its hard to beat the Hot Wire harness. At just over $1,000 it is a stand alone harness that requires 4 wire to be connected for use. There are also wires supplied inside the harness for connecting to gauges and other options. www.hotwireauto,com I've used 3 Hot Wire harnesses, one 5.9 Magnum (into 2 different vehicles now) and two 5.7 Hemi and they work well out of the box. This is sooo true. I love my Hotwire Harness. I also love the SCT handheld tuner and custom tunes from a competent tuner. My 5.9 Magnum based 408 spins out nearly 500 hp & 630 ft lbs of torque at the crank. That coupled with a 3800 stall converter, a 200R4 4 speed automatic w lock-up converter, 3.91 gears and Nitto Drag Radials make my 3700 lbs '68 get up and boogie.

1970 Plymouth 'Cuda #'s 440-6(block in storage)currently 493" 6 pack, Shaker, 5 speed Passon, 4.10's
1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible 408 Magnum EFI with 4 speed automatic overdrive, 3800 stall lock-up converter and 4.30's (closest thing to an automatic 5 speed going)
