It’s pretty hard for us to hide our excitement about this one, as Gear Vendors is easily one of the most respected names in overdrive transmission kits in the automotive aftermarket. Moreover, Gear Vendors historically cut its teeth developing its grenade-proof under/overdrive systems specifically for Mopar applications (namely the 904 and 727 TorqueFlite automatics). Wait, really? Yes, really. Back when Gear Vendors first started producing the DeNormanville planetary overdrive in 1979, they were the only ones in the US to do so, which eventually got Gear Vendors developing overdrive systems for GM, Ford and Chrysler. Since winning their first SEMA award in 1981, Gear Vendors is the most awarded and recognized aftermarket transmission product.
