So I just added another truck to my fleet, an 06 6 speed 1500 that has a bad 4.7 and want to swap in a 5.7 any one put one in front of that 6 speed getrag? Is there a big enough cable driven TB to where I can just use the 4.7 computer (with tuning of course) so I don't have to try to fool the 5.7 computer to work with the manual trans?

Mopar has a cable driven billet throttle body, but like anything else $$$.
Would like to see your results with the 4.7 ECM running the 5.7.

On HPtuners there was a guy who used the 4.7 pcm to run A 5.7, also on Hemi Truck Club user DakotaJ has also had success using a4.7 pcm.
As for the Getrag 6 speed, drive it within reason and it'll survive. My biggest contractor @ the day job his daily driver is a 03 4.7 5speed truck that has a mild 5.7 with a Getrag behind it, 55k miles on the combo.

Since your in PA I take it you have the same smog laws as me. No cel light = pass.
I want to do a 04 Dakota 5.7 using the 4.7 ECM.

I am in montana, no smog check but I don't want lights on the dash.

I have an 04 dakota also that has a 5 speeed I would probably prefer that truck for this project but no motor mounts for it and it would be complicated to fab them and I am not into fab work anyhow, so that ones out of the question for now.

Shane swapped the pcm over to the 05 set up. The pcm was for a stick truck so it doesn't throw any CELs.
B&G can convert an auto pcm over to manual to avoid the CEL issue.

so now a 6.4 just showed up on a pallet at my shop, wonder if the trans will handle that, or even if the clutch will hold it?
