On my trailer I have a outside box with a male plug
(the box has the flip close cover) then it goes to a
4 circuit breaker box then to the lights and wall
receptacles. 1 circuit is for the air conditioning
unit in the LQ... very simple set up. If I have power
at the track or home I just plug into the outlet,
if I need the generator(mounted in my truck) I pull
the 1 plug and plug in my gen
EDIT
I have it so the 110 comes from the outside box through
conduit then up through the floor to the breaker box.
I run the conduit so the animals dont eat the wiring
when its setting. Also I have to have a extension
cord for the track(I normally carry 2 heavy duty ones

Mine does not have a built in generator door, but it has a land line similar to what a Motorhome has.
It stores away in a small compartment built into the bottom/side at the front.Maybe you could run yours through the front and store it in a box on the tounge somehow?
Just a thought. When you get enough time and money, add a few lights, mine is lit up tons better than my shop(for now).

I would still put in 2 circuits . I dont think you
can do it much simpler than what I have, but I run
a fair amount of stuff(if I want, in the LQ), I got
all of the stuff at Home Depot
1 out side receptacle box, male plug for the box
1 4 circuit breaker box with breakers
some wall receptacles and a box of romax and 2 sticks
of conduit with a coupler
EDIT
Heres a pic of my cargo area, my breaker box is in
the bottom of the cabinet

Mine has two circuits, one for lights and one for outlets. One thing it does not have is an outside weatherproof outlet like some do,could be a nice option, insted of running cords out the door?
