Does anyone know for sure that a 71 spindle will exchange for a 67 spindle ? they look different .But they also look like the ball joints end up in the same place ?

Not sure about the A bodies. I have 66 Ply B body drum spindles on the front of my 71.

I have swapped the 1967 front end and K member out for the later 1973, it all bolted up. I didn't like the 1967 K member due to the single bolt attaching point on the K member for the idler arm I'm sure that the 1967 to 1973 A body drum brake spindles for the two different size brakes are the same for the same size brakes, the disc brake spindles may be different for the Kelsey Hayes four piston calipers versus the later bigger single piston caliper. I believe all of the A body ball joints are the same form 1967 to 1972 regardless of the type and size brakes See if you can access Moogs on line catalog on those parts and see if the part numbers are the same

The 67 pitman arm is a one year deal, other than that, i think they're about the same.
As Cab says, the KH spindles are different, i know because i looked into a willwood disc kit and it wouldn't fit my spindles.

The first picture you posted is a 10" drum knuckle. The second picture is a 9" drum knuckle.

The whole assemblies will interchange, but the spindles take different bearings.
