Currently upgrading my engine, probably going with stage v rockers. Any con's I should know about. The price gap between these and Barton's are pretty minimal but the Barton's look like they could be a headache. Thinking I would need lifter bushings to restrict the oil to the top end if I went with push rod oiling ( on the Barton's). Not to mention I'll need new lifters also if I went the Barton route.

You can restrict the pushrods to limit how much oil goes upstairs.I still have shaft oiling but sent oil up the ex pr's and lost 15 psi.Restricted the 15 psi came right back!

The last set of T&D (Barton) rockers I worked with had built in spray bar oiling. You drill and tap a 1/8" x3 an fitting in the oil galley and run a line to the bedplate to oil them. They are a much nicer set up than traditional Hemi rocker gear. So easy to put one rocker at a time on.

Barton makes great stuff but the Stage V is as simple as a stone and you will love it.

I agree. I have Barton's on my 528". Spray bar is visible.

I was surprised how heavy the Barton assembly was.

I think mine was about 17 pounds x 2 but the ease of assembly and one rocker removal if needed is the big plus.

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead
