Btween a rock and a hard place
I know this is a little different than most, but I've always wanted one. Picked a little a-100 up last August and have been slowly getting it fixed up. Needed some rust repair and 7 layers of paint removed! Had a small block in it, but wasn't done. Was a stock slanty truck. I have a 471 I'm putting together for it. 727 with a tci streetfighter.I just finished building and installing a Dana with ladder bars 4.10 gears. Getting ready to start on the roll bar. I think it should be kinda fun! See if the picture works.

I took a highway blast in one of those that ran like 12.70s. I have been in vehicles much faster and they were far less scary lol. Watching him stop wrestling that big steering wheel long enough to click the stock shifter up a gear was interesting.

That'll be a cool ride Jim, should be pretty fast, they make excellent a bracket car since the driver can judge the finish line perfectly. Wish I could see it run.

That there is crazy cool.
With some good grunt, that thing should move the mail. Perhaps adding weight to the rear portion may be considered at one point if the traction is sketchy.

Thanks everybody! It's gonna be kinda weird sitting over the front axle as far as steering input😳😳😳.but she's all nice and tight and I've added disk brakes to the front. The trans was in my 76 1/2 ton that I was racing. nice thing I just left it in drive 1-2 shift was at 5800 and 2-3 was at 6000 so I'm ok with using the stock dash shifter. funny stuff I've found they have cast weights already bolted to the very rear of the bed underneath. Also this little truck was owned by a towing co. here in Idaho and was used as a push truck at the local short track back in the day.

I finally joined the board today and lo and behold this posting comes up! Nice to see other A's being seriously hot rodded. That will be one fast A-100 for sure, and a major attention getter. Just had my 67 410 stroker A100 van at the 1/8 for its first runs, still have dialing in to do and perfecting the launch technique, weidest thing really on the track is staging being your on top of the wheels. Seems like excessive deep staging. Good luck with the build, look forward to following along towards its first run!

Seriously bad ass 👍. Street fighter converter is extremely tight. I couldn’t even get mine to flash to 3k behind a 408 stroker. Ran 11.00s with a 1.65 60ft.
