I putting a low buck 360 street/ strip engine together for my Mirada and want to know what you think it should make for power and torque.

.040 over 360 LA block

.010 off deck for zero deck height with Speed Pro Hypereutectic pistons # H116CP4. Should be around 9.8:1 - 10.0:1 Comp ratio

Stock cast crank and rods

Comp hydraulic flat tappet cam #274H
0.488 int./0.491 exh.
230 int./236 exh @.050
110 LSA

Box stock Edelbrock Performer RPM 60779 cylinder heads

Box stock Edelbrock RPM air gap dual plane intake manifold

Comp Cams Pro Magnum roller rocker arms 1.5 ratio

Moroso 8 qt. oil pan and pickup, Melling HV oil pump

Quick fuel SQ750 double pumper carb, mechanical Edelbrock fuel pump

MSD billet distributor and wireset.

Hedman full length headers 1 7/8 primaries

I do plan on a chassis dyno session after everything is broken in and close on tune.

What will it make?

I'm thinking right around 400HP.

I had a very similar build
360 .040 over, same pistons but .005 in hole
Felpro headgaskets (.039)
Stock crank, rods and rockers
Stock OOTB box 60779 Eddy heads
Comp Cams .519/.524 cam
Victor 340 Intake
750 Holly DP
Was in a A body with Summit 1 5/8 headers and 18" mufflers

Never dyno'd it, but went a best of 11.509 in the 1/4, but typically ran 11.60-11.70's. According to the Wallace racing calculator right in the 390-410 flywheel HP.

It wouldn't surprise me that it makes between 400 and 450 HP and more torque than HP at the flywheel, the rear wheel HP and torque will be influence greatly by the converter loss and drive train friction loss shruggy

Ok, some good responses here. I am hoping for a solid 400-425 HP engine for now with enough torque to have some fun on the street at lower RPM's. The rest of the combo is pretty street friendly with a stockish 727 with a 10.5" 3000 stall converter and a 8 3/4 3:91 axle and drag radials. The car is a heavy pig though because its a Dodge Mirada. I'm hoping for mid 12's once the car is dialed.

You shouldn't have any problem running 12.50's or faster with that combo.

It wont come remotely close to 450. Would bet any amount of money on that.

I would guess 380- 385 ish

How much money are you willing to loose? whistling devil grin
I've made 430 HP with all NHRA legal parts twenty years ago on two different 1971 340 motors with two different pairs of iron stock J and X heads shruggy
If I can do that so can most other engine builders with similar parts shruggy
The OP has a lot better parts and more C.I. to start with, hence my guestimate shruggy
The last pump gas stroker 340 motor I did in SO CA made 525 HP with a mild set of race W2 iron heads with 9.4 to 1 compression using CA 91 octane pump swill, the new Eddy 340 aluminum heads are better than those heads where shruggy
