My Father-in-Law is putting a FiTech on his LRE.

Shall we try an inline pump, or is there a good option for an in-tank that allows me to keep the factory sending unit?

87-93 pickups were fi. Not sure if the filler neck swaps but the guage will work correctly. You need the whole tank.

FiTech makes a command module fuel pump that could easily be mounted in the space in front of the passenger side inner fender with some creative bracket fab. It uses the stock tank sending unit and your stock mechanical pump to feed it then ramps up the pressure for the efi. They also show an in tank tight fit application that can be put in the original tank and still have the original sending unit. I personally have not used either but have been looking at fairly close and they both look like good options. Hope that helps.

Thanks. We initially bought the fuel command center but after reading the overwhelming bad reviews from FiTech owners regarding it. We are returning it in favor of some other in take or traditional surge tank option.
