Hi my name is Chris im inks son he said to get on here to see if any of you guys could help me figure this out.

Have a 2003 ram 1500 4x4 hemi haven't had any issues with my transmission but the other day was at a complete stop went to accelerate made a loud slam and wont move forward or reverse in 2wd. Also even if in 4hi or 4lo wont move as well. No trans fluid leaks anywhere fluid looks clean was told it could be the torque converter. Truck does make a winding noise ever since it happened and when you turn ignition off it ticks for a second. If anyone has any knowledge of what could be going on it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
Chris

I'll assume the truck rolls, not a locked up rear end, if so, chances are it's the converter, same thing happened with my 4X4 1500 Ram, just that I got the high pitched whine just before the converter grenaded, but seeing all the crap problems these trannys have still have it looked at before pulling the plug...

My converter decided to shred it's internals and distribute them thru out the transmission, resulting in full rebuild, $2200 later...
