Has anyone purchased the 70 challenger tail light chrome bezels from PG classics, and can render their opinion, thanks.

Hi Moondog,

I can tell you I am going thru this right. I bought the rear bezels and lights from Classic Industries and the 3 bezels do not match up. Where the 2 outside bezels meet the center bezel I have a about a 3/16 gap at the bottom on the left and on the right I have a 1/16 gap. It appears the outside bezels are short on the bottom side. The reason I know this I took my existing tail light bezels that are pitted up and they match the new center bezel perfect. Not sure if this is made by the same people as PG but I am calling Classic tomorrow to see what they can do to fix this.

I bought a set probably 10 years ago from PG classic and they perfect... but a lot could have changed since then.

The ones you have are from PG. The original tooling was very good, had to re-tool the bezels, new tooling not so good. I did all the test fitting of parts, tried to get them to fix the new tooling without success. Just one of the many reasons.

I have them in my car & they look great now but it took some work to get them to fit. I also have an aftermarket tail panel (probably a Goodmark, before AMD was around). I had to grind/offset several of the holes to get the posts to line up & go thru but after a little reworking they look good (to me anyway).

I bought mine from Classic Industries and mine fit perfectly with the original tail pan. After one year they started getting minor pitting and they seem to be growing. It seems like choices are limited. I had taken my originals to Paul’s Chrome plating and he wouldn’t replate mine.

A little OT, but there was a vendor several years ago at Carlisle/Nationals selling CNC cut STAINLESS STEEL 70 Challenger tail light housing assys... I don't recall the vendor, perhaps some here has info if this is still an option

I remember seeing those years ago. I don't remember who it was but do remember they were expensive.

I bought a set of them. Very nice.
But NO idea what his name was.

A friend of mine bought a set of the PG bezels. He was not happy when they started showing small black pits in just a few years.

Those CNC bezels were gorgeous. They were machined from aluminum and then chromed. Unfortunately I heard that the fellow making them passed away.

I bought a set from him at The Nats about 10 years or so ago. He did pass away a few years later....cancer I think it was. He was from Florida if I remember right? Nice guy who died too young! angel

Just installed a set on an original panel. Had to return the first set for the right side bezel being bent and twisted, which did not allow the taillight lens to sit properly. I was worried it would break the lens and or crack the new bezel when installed. Second set had a noticeably better right side bezel. On the bench laying flat all looked good. All assembled on car the left lower bezel would not sit even with lower center bezel. I will have to spend some time tweaking the left lower bezel to lower center bezel for better fitment. Otherwise it looks very nice and does the job much better than my originals for looks, but the fit could be a bit better between the bezels. Studs matched up perfectly with holes in original tail panel.
