Acquiring parts for 2019 build. First off Im fully aware a single carb on an air gap RPM is better better better and cheaper for the street. Im a fan of multi carbs and have two new Edelbrock 500cfm carbs. My project: 360 with KB 107 pistons, ported J heads 2.02 1.6 valves. Dougs 1.5/8" full length headers. Hyd roller cam .235-.240 dur @.050. 727 full manual,3500 stall 3:91 SG.1971 Demon. I have a new Offenhauser dual quad but decided this 273 manifold will give up too much and thus I will sell it off. Would like the set up to fit under the hood but am willing to cut hood for the tunnel ram. Ive searched moparts and A bodies only forum and the Modman dual 4 configuration sounds wrong for my app as my engine may be much too small and mild. But I wanted a recent take from members in the know. My goal is a car I will have fun in and honestly will never take to the strip (But high 12s in the 1/4 capability.) Park it in my house and hug it (Im single)

I have ran weiand tunnel Rams in the past and I am currently using one now ,I am very pleased with them and they worked great for me. I will be using one on my next build too.

Thanks moparborn. Im pretty sure a Weiand is in my future. My obsession is the dual quad cars of the late 50s early 60s-383s 413s hemis from all eras, Olds and Buicks- 409s with dual quads. So cool that it was available from the factory. Im disappointed Edelbrock will not make a dual four manifold for the LA. The unit they made 40 years ago was for the 273. Im checking ebay moparts and A Bodies often for a used 340/360 tunnel ram.

The mod man intake looks cool but with its shorter runners it would appear to be a high RPM manifold. I thought about using one on my W5 408 but the M1 TR that's on it works just fine.
I sold a Weiand 340/360 TR awhile back to a member here or on FABO, I don't remember.

Thanks for the input! The Modman looks like a cool with the dual Edelbrocks but Im not finding any glowing reviews- or rather glowing reviews on mild engines. Id really like an Edelbrock Street tunnel ram- they made them briefly in the early 90s. Now they are scarce and $$$$$. A new Weiand is $490. Every place has the same price- $490. Ill keep looking for a used one. Dont need it ASAP so if I dont find a used one Ill get a new one.

A member reached out and I now have a new old unused Edelbrock Street tunnel Ram on the way. I also have 2 new Edelbrock 500 carbs on the way. Very cool. Ive been paying Child support on time, never fell behind and not complaining since 2002 and that commitment will be done this May 20th. That coupled with my purchase of a very modest small home (and overtime) have put in a position to where I have $$ to spend on my toy. (71 Demon with a 1971 360). With a little pain I decided I dot want to risk running a flat tappet cam. You know-the failures even with proper blend oil. So Im thinking Hughes for a hyd roller cam lifters springs retainers (235-240 dur @ .050.) I like Mancinis house brand iron adjustable rocker arms. I already have .030 over KB107 hypereutectic pistons I purchased brand new second hand in 2003. My heads are J heads with punched out 2.02 intake and common sense ported and polished by me (not hogged out.) Headers are Dougs 453 with 1 5/8 primaries. A friend gave me his perfect functioning TCI super street fighter converter a decade ago (yes TCI is not well recommended but I verified it worked well on the street in his car and it was free!) Trans is good to go 727 with full man reverse VB and deep pan. Rear is an 8 3/4 sure grip with 3.91s and Yukon axles. OEM discs front-drum rear. I think that covers it. 28" tall rear tires. Car will honestly never make it to the strip but Id want it capable of easy 12s with traction IF I raced it.

Thanks for the advice EV2. Build will take place over the 18/19 winter. I will not order certain parts until the engine is apart. Car has been in a storage facility since 2006. Getting a garage built on my property this year and the Demon will go in it and my fun will begin.
