Worked for a guy that owned it in 99. Real decent car , but very old build. Wonder if any chassi work is cracked, etc. Definitely would cost more than double to build. Been for sale a long time , and I cant see why. Old race cars dont bring much money , but that seems to be a good buy.Whats a 500" aluminum koffel big block cost?

Looks like a nice car...not bashing it at all...but wonder why it only runs 9.60's? I would think @ 2400 lbs and an all aluminum B1 headed powerplant with a 4.30 gear it would be much quicker than that shruggy

You would think it would be quicker with no nitrous even. All the years I've seen arrows at dragstrip, them things usually fly but good.

Those are B1/BS heads which flow a lot less than original B1's. There is no doubt more in it but if those heads aren't ported you'd likely have to start there. I ran similar ET's with a similar weight 68 Cuda with a 500 inch motor with Stage V DC iron heads but I had a BIG roller in it that would eat valve springs and spit them out. Some guys would rather back it down on the ET and not have to replace parts all the time. Plus if you get that below 8.99 aren't you into more bars in the cage? Funny car cage maybe? I'm not up to date on the rules any more.

Friend of mine owned it back in the 80s, another friend owns it now.

It's been a good solid car for both of them, and the current owner has made some improvements to it.

Nice looking car and I always liked these cars. But like everyone has said it's a pig with all that motor...
