I'm on a business trip in Maryland. I was lucky enough to score a rental 2017 Hemi Charger RT. I love the car and treat it as my own. So I parked it out of the way plus it allows me to walk and get some exercise. Anyways, when I went out to it this morning, another hotel guest parked his Challenger RT next to it. I thought that was pretty cool so I took a picture of them together. When I got back from work tonight, I parked in the usual area and the Chally arrived thereafter, but parked elsewhere.

Nice pic! I saw the "American Muscle" category available from Enterprise at LAX for my trip later this year: Mustang GT, Camaro SS, SRT Challenger. Very tempting apimp

Parked right beside each other you can see they're the same size and how much better proportioned the Charger is, at least in my opinion.

Black on the Charger helps to hide it's large size.

A car cannot be judged by driving a rental car. It would be like going to a hooker to see if you should marry her sister!

Your picture reminds me that I still need to get the front fascia stripe extension decals someday still for my 2012 Classic. I looked forever for a B5 blue one but finally settled on this one. I do also have a 1970 style body line stripe that I bought for it but have been undecided if i want to change the stripes now or not?

I have driven both the Charger R/T's and Challenger R/T's when I
used work for Roush, test driving Chrysler new/prototype cars. I preferred the Charger because there was alot more room, just as much power, and was to me, a more comfortable ride, than the Challenger. The Hellcat was of course, just AWESOME to drive around! drive laugh2

When my Challenger was a week old,I masked off the stripe tip extensions, covered the car with plastic and painted those on it. I had the car parked in the garage next to my 71 Challenger convertible, and I decided to make it match the 71. I posted the pics on Challenger talk and the guy from Ryder Graphix saw it and said that they were going to make decals for them. He agreed that they should have been that way from the factory.

LOL - Mike that might be dependent on how hot the sister is. wink

However I hear you and might be in a similar boat to you.

In 2013 it was time for me to stop driving 99 W2500 CTD 6 speed. I needed a car. I thought about a Challenger R/T, Challenger SRT, used Porsche Turbo or a Passat TDI - all with a manual. I drove a R/T and the sales guy asked "how does it compare to the originals?" i had not told him that I own 7 Challengers. I simply said "This car has no soul."

I also couldn't grasp the price difference between the R/T and SRT. 24,000 versus 45,000 in my area.

So I ended up buying the Passat TDI and enjoying 48 MPG on average.

Fast forward to 2016 and VW is willing to buy their car back for crazy money and I have a new job 128 miles away in the Bay Area. I need a car with an automatic and a Nav system. I looked at Challengers again. They were better. But I ended up buying a 2013 Cadillac CTS Performance Wagon for $600 over what I got for my Passat.

Now there is the Hellcat, but like you something came along that changed all that. In my case a complete unrestored 68 Hemi Charger R/T.

I'll probably still end up buying a HC but the car hasn't thrilled me yet but I'll give it a chance.

BTW - every time I get a rental car I do try get a Hemi Charger or Challenger.

Today is March 2 and I had a work meeting just outside Charlotte. Out and about on the drive around the area I saw a four door dart and a 1996 Viper GTS. After a long and grueling ride on 74, I'm in for the night. I parked the Charger RT outback. A few minutes ago I hear a door close so I peep out the window. LOL. I took A quick cell phone image. Would have preferred under the full moon in the warm air but this 'll do for now. Saturday is a road trip to King Pettys Court
