I like RR. He is a self made guy and a great promoter. His drive to succeed and willingness to loose or win at an auction is something. He ain't scared to go big lol

I wonder if Rawlings is the reincarnation of Boyd Coddington, this time with tattoos & hair...
I'd say he's a pretty clever businessman, but the ego thing is tedious. Then again, it's TV, where the producers think everything has to be hyped and accuracy is inconvenient.
I just try to relax and laugh at the BS, which admittedly isn't always easy; I just wanna see the races. I don't mind the list races either, since the cars & "track" are so inconsistent that usually either car could win.

I have to ask.......how in the hell can you start and run a blown Hemi and not know you left a plug out? Ryan heard a lifter squeak and they couldn't hear a plug out?

Lets see, did one of the producers have anything to do with that issue whistling shruggy
Every motor I have started that had a bent valve or missing pushrod talked to me on the starter, let alone when running shruggy

The better question might be, how are you a Pro Stock team then put twice as much HP in a car with non adjustable shocks????????????? Wow! Really? I can't believe that Challenger sat there for more than a year...

I have seen Lutz's cars up close and they are super nice. That thread on yellowbullet was interesting. He had a comical approach to it at Drag Week 13, him and his boy were wearing shirts that said "I saw it on the internet it must be true" or something along those lines. The few times I have spoken to him I would have to say it is hard to find a nicer guy.

I'm surprised there aren't any spoilers out yet on who won the race.

The shock deal looked like a TV time filler deal to me. I don't think Laughlin or Frankie taylor would even make a pass with NA shocks on a blown car. Frankie madman taylor tunes the car.

Of course this is gas flunky garage, so anything is possible.
That said, my car came with koni NA shocks, and it will have DA shocks before it ever its the track.

Do a search for lutz and cuda. It will be the thread that will take a week to read, it is longggg.
A buddy of lutz ended up buying the car after lutz got destroyed on the bullet. I think the car was bought to quiet the story because lutz had just started appearing on outlaws.

I have no idea what happened with that Cuda in the YB thread but Lutz seems like a nice guy that builds badazz cars.

The YB thread is only 316 pages long. grin
I will agree lutz CAN do top quality work.
I wouldnt let him build me a doghouse.
It looks like most of the pics in the thread are blank now due to photobucket pay issues.

Met him the first year he attended DW. Not impressed.Funny his first ProMod camaro was built by someone else.Just saying. He also said he was the first car to go over 200 at DragWeek.Larry Larsons jacket from HotRod says otherwise.

A week build up and one broken car and another 2 and done without a 3rd and deciding race... I thought this stuff was fake and made for tv! If it was, it would have been a lot better.
