What kind of throttle cable setups are you guys using with tall (2") carb spacers or throttle stops? I still have the stock gas pedal in the car. I would have to make a cabl bracket for the carb or intake manifold as the one I have now will not go high enough.

I use the Jegs alum piece designed for the stock mopar cables.

I finally went with the Lokar cable after my '69 factory cable broke (most of the strands, caught it before it broke all the way). I really like their cable. But it did take some work and I use a carb mounted cable holder, that is nice too.

This is the mod to the stock pedal in my '69 Dart. Not a big deal.

john make sure that the pedal has a dead stop so the cable isn't pulled all the way be pedal. I've tried mine twice before we figured that i was pulling the cable out of that set screw .I then drilled it out and put a bigger screw in it.I think i was making it worse by 2 stepping alot of pressure on it.
good luck don

I like the Lokar cable also, but you can take a small piece of flat medal and drill a hole in each end of it and make a extension for your stock cable also.

There may be some variance in pedals from Ma Mopar. The Lokar end has a barrel shape with a ball. The barrel dia wouldn't fit through my pedal so I enlarged it a tiny bit (7/64" bit). The ball part is larger and stops the cable from going through the pedal.

Yes my peal is mounted to a bracket that holds the whole mess to the firewall. Makes it a little easier to get to the cable with the motor in the car. The hole was 1/2" and the instructions call for 5/16" So I added the washer.
