There is 2 different intakes with part number 3412046, one is an assembly line part and the other is over the counter part. That will determine the price I would think. Can you post a pic of the part number as there is a slight different font between them.

Botttom is an original,if it has a CH6 or CH6B it is an over the counter replacement.
Some originals will have the 6 appearing to be a smashed 8.

We know that the bottom one is a correct assy line for 69 1/2. So is the bottom one with the goofy 6 correct for Superbirds also?

Superbird would be cast iron with "maybe" a few exceptions but I have never seen an aluminum on a bird that was actually documented.

What kinda of date code is common for the cast iron 6 pack intake on a Superbird?

I would "guess" probably Oct of 69 as all were built in Nov.

Anyone have an idea what time frame (70's, 80's, 90's etc.) the CH6 intake with no 341XXXX part number would have been made?

I'm not a wing car guy, but I heard GG say at a Mopar show there are few SBird's documented. To avoid me passing on incorrect info, I'm just repeating what I heard GG say about 20 years ago, I have no proof it's true.

I have a '70 Cuda, first rode in it in '75, bought in '89, SPD first week Oct, Edelbrock intake. I asked the original owner about it, he said yes it's a cast iron intake by Edelbrock. He knew the '70 440-6 came with cast and just assumed it was made by Edelbrock. Appears to have never been off the car.

There's a '70 RR 440-6 near me, SPD second week Oct, Edelbrock intake.

Just like the statement GG made about SBird's having Edelbrocks, I can't see how any 440-6 can be documented coming thru with an Edelbrock intake.

I guess you missed the part that he didn't tell ME anything.
Are you trying to turn this A12 intake thread into another GG bashing thread?
IF so, please don't use ME to justify the reason for it.
Thanks.

The reason I asked as is I had bought a Superbird last May and it has the correct part number and date code carbs but it has an Aluminum 69 1/2 intake with the crazy 6 on the end. It has been my understanding that those with the crazy 6 on the end were assy line intakes. The owner swore that the intake was always on the bird since he had it from 1978 but he was also not the original owner. I am trying to figure out if it could have been on the car from new. I know GG White numbers book list those intakes on Superbirds.

I am certainly no expert on this, but I will say Superbirds were built between October and December (ALL have the Nov 30 /B30 SPD, regardless of what day they were actually built) Also have always heard "rumors" that Some early (Aug, Sept, Oct) Lynch Rd built cars did get aluminum from the factory.I can't confirm or deny , just saying I have heard that from multiple sources over the last 30 years . Could be hogwash , I don't know.
