At today's NHRA race I think they said his first name was (Mike) Cotten lost a close one in the Super Stock final. Not sure if he's a member or not but if he is, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

Yup, Mike Cotten. He also has (or did have) a Stock Elim Duster that his wife drives.

Mike is a member here but I don't know how often he drops by. Mike drives the Duster in Stock Eliminator also.

Mike did a great job driving and dialing the car the Barracuda this weekend. He had something like a .003 package when he raced Dan Fletcher who has won something like 104 national events.

Mike drives both the Duster and Barracuda. Paula has not driven the Duster since she wrecked it in 2015 in Phoenix. She hit both walls on the track and they found her lying in the passenger floor board. That was the last time she drove. Mike still drives that car after it was repaired. Very goo folks from Oklahoma, he chases D7 points now.

The other car in the final was Juston Lamb from Las Vegas. Probably the baddest bottom bulb racer in the country. He was last years National Stock and Super Stock champ.

Good to see another entry.Thought we would only have Alan who is always tenth or so behind the field.

I recall hearing years ago the Duster had been wrecked, thought it was a towing deal. If I recall, he's owned that car forever.
Yeah, Lamb is a major hitter: seems to be in every issue of Dragster winning something!

Mopar has a sportsman racer program,$$$$, who win or runner up for 2018.

Mike and Paula had look a like Stock Eliminator Dusters. One of those was destroyed in a towing accident. Mike bought Eric Bells Cuda and runs a bad ass 383 in Super Stock. Mike has also taken over driving duty of the Stock Eliminator Duster. They moved to Arizona a couple of years ago from Oklahoma. Two of the nicest people you could ever meet. Mike won the Mopar Performer award at this race.

Well to just try and set things straight on the Cotten's Dusters:

The first Duster they had for a long time. It was originally a street car and they took it on their honeymoon. This car was destroyed in the 2015 accident.

They got a second Duster that Paula raced while Mike raced the original car. That car was totaled in a towing accident quite a while ago coming back from Memphis to Tulsa. A front tire on the truck blew out and the trailer rolled with both cars in it. The original car was repairable, and a third Duster was acquired for Paula.

When Mike got the Super Stock Cuda Paula started racing what had been Mike's car. I could never tell them apart because if Paula was racing Mike's Duster he would put the seats out of her car in it because she liked them better.

When the original Duster was wrecked the "third" Duster was placed back in service and Mike has been driving it in Stock eliminator.

However it appears Paula has plans to return to the driver's seat as they recently purchased an (ACK) Camero that she plans to drive.

Probably more than anyone wants to know. I think this is all correct, perhaps Mike will chime in and make any corrections.

Mike and Paula are probably the best liked couple in Drag Racing.

The best announcer in Drag Racing, Brian Lohnes messed up and said Mike was an Arizona native. Mike and Paula are from Oklahoma and have family and a home here. However they currently live in Arizona.

I didn't know about the third car...I knew about the one that got involved in the accident on the road and obviously the one a Wild Horse as I was there. It was pretty fubared after bouncing off the walls for sure. I don't think I have spoke to them since then actually, but I have not been to a lot of races the last couple years being on the east coast. Great couple for sure
