well i went to install the headers today and the pipe nipple was hitting the bottom of the floor...... and thats without the screw on piece for the tube.... looks like some sort of baffle inside there..... can i just straight hook the tubing right onto the nipple and cut the nipple down some and clamp it on???

also can evac e body guys post pics of there setups....

it was welded in per mr gasket directions...

you have to have the valve its a one way check valve without it the header will put pressure in the motor.

Do you have a slip on collector? If you do, turn it to the side inside or out and we weld the attaching tabs.

no they are tti headers with no slip on collector.. they are aftermarket full floorpans.... not sure if that matters....

That isnt good.I guess I would put another one on the side which gives you the most clearence and weld the one you have closed. Sorry

This is where a little forethought and some checking go a long way. You should have eyeballed it before you welded the nipples on. Now your only option is to cut them off and weld somewhere else-or just leave them off and use a vacuum pump or the PCV valve..

what about threading the nipple down deeper and cutting off the excess nipple or getting hot with a welder and bending the nipple some ???

If its hitting now without the valve on it, I dont see how it would fit. Cap it and get two more nipples and put them to the outside so the line from the vavle cover doesnt have to travle through the header area.
