Have had this 440 sitting in the back corner of my shop for years..cast 1975. Any specific application? Cop car? Pulled out of a 2wd 77-78 truck, but don't believe it to be original.

per the top pad is there a partial VIN stamping on the pan rail? 6T440 E 9 5 6 = 1976 model year T = Trenton MI engine assembly plant 440 = cu.in. E = cast crank 9 5 = Friday 9/5/75 engine assembly date

So how is this a six pack bottom end? If it has the heavy 906/908 connecting rods, some may consider it to be a six pack bottom end.

the OP appears to be asking the question .....
is this a mid-'70s Six Pack Bottom End?? * probably NO heavy rods does this have a Steel or Cast Crank? * CAST crank
* at least when originally assembled

A 76 block, cast crank and we're talking about this maybe being a six pack bottom end?
Is this still Moparts or has the site been hacked? Ok,excuse me..heavy rods/big balancer..had always heard of it referred to as a 6 pack rotating assembly..It is definitely heavier appearing (balancer)than the std cast crank 440 of the era that I've dealt with.

Balancer is what's weird, I have a 74 or 75 motor home block still together with a steel crank and the big rods, But a thinner beveled edge balancer that doesn't have the balance ring. I have a police 77 cast crank balancer, but I don't think I looks like the one you have either, I'll look tonite to double check. Only thing for sure is its a c-body block, not what's inside. I checked, neither one I have look like yours.
