What year trans will interchange with my 2000 (5.9/2wd)? It has been slipping some lately, but not bad enough to deal with yet. BUT, today something came loose inside and I cannot get it into park, so it's time to do something about it. Anybody near central California have a line on one? This trans has unknown miles. It was installed used about six months before I bought the Durango.

Don't remember which years interchange. I do remember there was a difference in the connectors for the harnesses so it may be year specific. If you are looking to do upgrades, just down the road in Hanford I believe is Brown/Browns/Brown bros diesel. They do work on the 47/48's for the Cummins stuff and a lot of what goes into them transfers over to the 46's.

Turned out to be a semi-minor problem. The trans was very clean inside, but what happened was the strut on the adjuster side of the front band broke. This was the slippage going into second and the strut was blocking the shifter from going into park...Grabbed a strut from the pile of 727 parts that I have and all is good again.
