Currently trying to finish up the wiring. Bought all new harnesses. Converted from column to console shift. On my 68 Charger there was a plug in the dash harness for the console harness to plug into. On the 69 Charger, no plug in the dash harness. Cannot find any mention of it in the FSM.
Do I need to cut off the end plug and splice it into the dash harness, or am I missing something??

Memory fading but I believe the plugin is under the drivers seat or in harness between drivers seat and kick panel on a 69...

Funny you should bring this up. I just put a brand new Year One M & H harness in my ralley dash yesterday. I have the console harness that goes from the kick panel along the sill plate to under drivers seat to console. Well it looks like I need a harness from the kick panel up to the dash harness. Is there a connecting harness between kick panel and dash harness?

When I restored my 68 I replaced every harness Except for the dash harness. There is a wiring harness just for the console, then another harness from the console harness to the dash harness.
I'm in my shop now looking at the original dash harness. There a three connectors behind the kick panel. Rear harness, dome light and hi low foot switch.

Here is a pic of what I have in my 69 Superbee. Also is a link to the same problem some one else had a few years back on moparts. I am missing the extra plug on my new harness as seen in last picture. The pink and orange with grey connector is from the console harness. I have nowhere to plug it into on my new harness.

I have the same plugs on my brand new harness.

On page 8-105 of my 68 FSM it shows a console wiring diagram with a plug going to console wiring on instrument panel.
My 69 FSM does not have a console wiring diagram so something did change

Here are a couple of pics from a 69 charger harness. Wire to console is part # 2770245. Length is around 6 feet long.

Well I got it figured out today. I went by my buddies body shop where we removed my old harness that i did not have over the weekend. There is a sub wiring harness that goes from the lower console wiring harness in kick panel to the main harness. It is a pink and orange wire harness and it plugs into the back of the fuse panel. Se pictures. If you do not have this harness you cam make 2 simple jumper wire from main console harness to fuse block. see pics. Last picture is my new harness with provisions to clip console harness on.
