Found these markings on the back panel where the seat back is mounted. "VF 1314". Anyone know the meaning of these markings? Is it a date code? This is on a St. Louis built 68 Coronet with SPD of 6/26.

My "G" '68 RM23, (hardtop) FF1- green, green décor interior, no vinyl roof, Road Runner.
Think it reads 1 12 - 12 - 40, do the numbers match anything on a broadcast sheet??????
Does it appear that someone reached inside the rear window to write that or were they inside the car when written?? The angle of the "12 - " makes me think they were to the right/passenger's side of the car at the least. The same with the OP's image too with the numbeer's slant to the right as written not to the car's right. Also I found nothing on the car's original fender tag that came close to matching anything written there.
Mike
