Yes big time, thought the injectors where going, ended up being the u-joint, were totally gone, i.e. no needle bearings left. A [censored] to replace since Dodge saw fit to put the injection clips to secure the cups, new ones have the c-clips. I just did the driveshaft, need to check the rest this spring. Should have known, my 92 diesel hammered them out every 30,000 miles and they where BIG joints.

Not sure if lower ball joints would cause it, they wear out fast. Just about everything on my 06 3500 has been replaced or rebuilt except engine. I thing all Dodges have tether straps hooked back to the dealer.
Any particular side, front-back?

Well I'd say start with the tires, check for out of roundness, knots, balance. Then work your way in, bearings, discs, shocks, springs, hangers, anything that could be broken or loose. Pinion bearing nut loose, bent driveshaft, work forward. Put on jacks, have someone spin it to 65-75 mph give it a visual for movement. My buddy's car had a bad vibe, he thought it was an out of balance engine that had recently been built, so I got it off the ground to look, one of the c-clips had come out of the u-joint and driveshaft was flopping around. It felt like a square tire. LOL

Just going to have to view everything while its up in the air and wheels turning.
Injector might be missing at speed, it fires 3 times each stroke, making a pulsing feeling-vibration. The common rail type have a lot of problems getting stopped up. Run some trans fluid (quart) each fillup, I use the wall mart chain saw oil in mine, can't remember the name right now.

I think my output shaft bushing is bad . Put a dial indicator in the driveshaft and had .010-.020 in wobble on shaft . But the checked out put shaft and had about .050 side to side slop at the slip yoke. Ordered parts today .will update on outcome

I would think you would be able to notice if the yoke was worn that much when you had it out. I guess you could measure it and compare to a new one. BTW, The reason I asking if the driveshaft could have gotten bent when removing the u joints was because mine were so rusted that every u joint was a real pain to get out. I ended up just replacing the driveshaft because of all the trouble I had with removing them in fear that I knocked it out of balance.

drive shaft not bent I checked it with a dial indicator and it checked good .replaced slip yoke since it ad so much play in it and it helped tremendously . I also had a broken exhaust hanger and a bad right side tie rod had become very worn out where you could actually move the rod up and down about 3/16 of an inch .with all that being said after repairing and replacing all that the problem is gone.

These trucks are famous for driveline vibration at highway speed. I worked at the dealer when these trucks were new and saw quite a few with this issue. Most of the time it was the driveshaft itself that was the issue. Could be either front or rear. Mark and Remove the front driveshaft and take it for a short test drive. If the issue is gone, reinstall it and clock both ends of the shaft from the original position. While it’s out inspect the u joints and lube the shaft bearing that no one ever seems to do. Inspect it for slop and binding. Also I see several bent or deformed rear driveshafts after u joint replacement. People usually heat the caps release the plastic that retains the caps, then while they are still hot, beat out the old u joint causing shaft damage.
