Has anyone had any experience with 2" TTI headers on a low deck b-body with Trick Flow 240 heads? Their website says that non-SR or -1 Indy heads need a tube modification. Do the 240's retain the same exhaust port height as a stock head?
Thanks.
I guess a good side note question would be if the 1&7/8 headers would be big enough for a 512 or if 2" would be recommended?

I have a set of 2" tti's in a b-body with the tf 240's on a b motor, no issues. A side note, they were bought for a rb. I bought them used. not sure if that makes any difference.

I think B and RB use the same part number for a tti 2". It shouldn't make a difference. luckluck

I'm only running 1.75" headers on my stroked low deck. Certainly not optimal but they were dirt cheap and the car runs 10.60's so I'm plenty happy with them.

1 7/8 should be fine with a 1.81 exhaust valve. Even 1 3/4 is probably okay coming off the head and then maybe a step up.

I asked TTI if they would make 1 7/8 to 2 inch headers rather than the huge 2 to 2 1/8 that they currently make but I just got crickets in return.

I think their headers are too big for the vast majority of cars out there but evidently they don't think so.

Mr. Prosport is good example of your thoughts!

I'm only running 1.75" headers on my stroked low deck. Certainly not optimal but they were dirt cheap and the car runs 10.60's so I'm plenty happy with them.

On my lowly 383, 1-7/8 x 3 headers made a noticeable improvement in power over some 1-3/4 x 3 headers.

The results are in the tech archives.

Every RB or B motor I've put bigger headers on, primary and or collector, on the engine dyno or at the track like less exhaust resistance including a low compression pump gas 426 M.W that made more HP and torque on the engine dyno switching from Hooker A body 1 7/8x3.5 collector to 2 1/4 primary pipes with 4.0 collectors shock shruggy
The only reason that test occurred is the dyno operator/ owner didn't have a set of Mopar wedge dyno headers so he made them while that motor was on the dyno to test his against the Hookers I had. shruggy
on a street car with closed exhaust you probably won't feel or know the difference between the 1 3/4 to the 2.0 primary pipes with a stock type head shruggy

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
