The marks on a US manufactured bolt head are proprietary, or assigned by a body like SAE or ANSI. In 1969 there were 490 bolt manufacturers in the US. Several had more than one plant and assigned a separate mark to each.

As far as reproductions go, I do not believe a reputable US bolt manufacturer will produce a bolt with a marking not his own. Thus, it may be nearly impossible to obtain a new, currently manufactured bolt with the correct mark on the bolt head.

Not what you wanted to hear, right? Maybe someone else has a source.

R.

Look at AMK bolts, they might have them.

The head bolts used can and did vary from year to year, depending on which plant had which vendors bolts in stock scope
What year are you needing? Do you know the markings on the bolt heads you want? I have some good used sets in stock, I don't reuse them on race motors shruggy
PM me on here if you want a set and let me know which markings you want, maybe I have set luck

Looks like the second row in the middle, that is what I am used to seeing. Like a few of us, I have several sets laying around, good enough for street engines. twocents

1739606 and 1739605 are the short and long numbers. You may be able to round up enough of NOS if you look long enough. There are some on ebay right now of both but not enough for a full set. There are some shown on partsvoice.com also. You may want a dealer to run the numbers just to see if a dealer may have some old stock.

I used to have several boxes of head bolts but I think I sold them at the last swap meet. Not worth much money anymore since most people use aluminum heads.

You might look for the old MP number. I used to have a bunch of these packages of bolts but I believe I've sold them all.

Another option if you're just short a few.... but the original ones on the outside & the non-original ones under the valve covers...just a thought.
